One of Kuta’s attractions, Waterbom Bali has recently unveiled two new features to entertain the island’s fun seekers: The open-concept ThaItalian theatre kitchen restaurant and FlowRider surfing machine.
Upon entering the restaurant you are greeted with smells of exotic food, a light breeze and a homey feel. The space is cozy, but grand in the sense that the extended terrace leads directly onto the stationary FlowRider wave.
The first on the island, the FlowRider is a five-foot stationary wave supplied by FlowRider Inc. Two riders will be able to surf the wave at the same time with the choice of a stand up board or a lay-down board.
This fun yet challenging attraction allows you to steer your board into the centre of the flowing water by gently shifting your weight. Try to keep your board pointed in the direction of the oncoming flow of water!
