Bali Bersama Bisa Hosts Freedom Summit III

Embark on an astonishing journey across the majestic mountains of Bali for a great cause as the Freedom Summit III is set to be held from 17-20 October 2024. Standing out as a unique event globally, Freedom Summit’s past expeditions have conquered new trails and secured the establishment of Bali Bersama Bisa Mental Health, Indonesia’s first non-profit mental health facility in Dalung, Bali.

Motivated by the resilience of the trailblazing mental health mountaineering expedition “Freedom Summit” in October 2021, which faced unprecedented challenges due to the pandemic, the summit persevered, breaking into smaller groups over five weekends to conquer the secret “Freedom Summit trail” of Bali’s Mount Abang.

Freedom Summit III is set to push the boundaries of mountain challenges while pioneering mental health resources through Bali Bersama Bisa Mental Healthcare. The facility now has 17 full-time staff including psychiatrists, psychologists, support workers, and numerous volunteers dedicated to providing essential mental health services.

There are three divisions you can join for Freedom Summit III: (1) Mountain Heroes, conquer the ultimate challenge of three mountains namely Mount Agung, Mount Abang on the secret Freedom Summit trail, and Mount Batur, in 3 nights and 3 days; (2) Mountain Explorers, repeat the thrilling challenge of Freedom Summit II exploring the rugged terrain and scenic trails of Mount Abang and Batur; and (3) Base Camp Heroes, providing essential support to the teams, assisting with base camp setup, logistics, and material handling with an optional hike of Mount Batur.
