World-famous beach club oasis, Karma Beach Bali, has announced the dates of their monthly Mimpi event where a number of big names from the dance music industry are confirmed to bring their beat to the beaches of Bali!
Dates for Karma Beach Bali’s monthly party series, Mimpi ─ Dreaming of Paradise, have been announced, from May all the way through to July. Mimpi invites you to enjoy sun-soaked beach days, clear blue skies and Karma’s clear waters and white sand, all elevated with with world-class music!
On Saturday, 18 May 2019, dance to the tunes of legendary UK producer and DJ, Ashley Beedle. His career began in the 80s, where he made a name for himself during the pinnacle of the Acid House days. He has worked with artists including Talking Heads’ David Byrne, and has even been referenced in Daft Punk’s song as one of the ‘teachers’, he has remixed Bob Marley songs, and produced global hits such as ‘Lazy’, which won him an Ivor Novello Award. With a musical background in Soul, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, Disco and House, witness a fantastic set from this master of his craft.
The next month will see Mr. C, founder & owner of Plink Plong records, co-founder of End Recordings, and founder & co-owner of Superfreq label, perform on Saturday, 15 June 2019. He is popularly known as the front man, songwriter and producer of pop group, The Shamen, which has a number of top 10 hits including Move Any Mountain, Love Sex Intelligence, Boss Drum, Phorever People, and the UK number 1 smash hit, Ebeneezer Goode.
The month of July will bring one of the forefathers of dance music to Bali, Bert Bevans played a crucial role in the growth of dance music in New York, as a DJ in the legendary Studio54, and Europe. Bert began his career in the early 70s, performing in the traditional house or block parties in Hollis, Queens, emerging in the scene with the likes of Larry Levan and Francois K. On Saturday, 20 July 2019, Bert Bevans will bring a taste of the NYC glitz and glamour to one of Bali’s most famous beach.
