As a first step to following the Paris Climate Change Agreement signed by Indonesia, and a way to produce less waste and help reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions, The Stones – Legian, Bali – A Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel, recently installed 99 units of solar collectors, the largest solar installation project in Bali of its type. With this technology, The Stones aims to make its first step in limiting the volume of greenhouse gases emitted by human activity to the same levels that trees, soil and oceans can absorb naturally. The energy saving is a significant improvement on an average of 6,054,100 KWH/year or equal to 4,576 tons in Carbon footprint annually, before the installation was completed.
