SIP, PLAY and FLIRT at this Huge Summer Party at W

The summer season is here! What does that mean? Summer parties of course, and the first to bring in those summer vibes is the ultra-stylish W Retreat and Spa with their annual SPF 2017 party that is set to hit W’s WOOBAR on Saturday, 22nd of July 2017.

SPF stands for SIP – PLAY – FLIRT, which pretty much describes what this party is all about. Great drinks, great music, beautiful people, all in one place to celebrate the summer.

This year, the event takes the theme Fever Dream; collaborating with Jakarta-based designer and illustrator Fajar Domingo, eye-catching psychedelic visuals will be used to light up the party arena and add a whole new dimension to the atmosphere. He is known for his collaborative design for Gucci’s Instagram art project #GucciGram and recently for the launch of VICE Indonesia.

The party will also mark the launch of an exclusive line in collaboration with Fajar Domingo and GEO/Vita, introducing a miniseries of beachwear featuring the exclusive Fever Dream design.

The day to night party will bring in a concept of Day Dream vs Night Dream, here are the details of this bipolar party:

Day Dream

The party kicks off at 1pm with the day dream taking the form of a Bali pool party, with W’s resident DJ’s holding the decks. A new addition to this year’s party will feature interactive and creative workshops as well:

Express Your Style – create your own Fever Dream themed party accessories with hats, masks, make up and hair styling
Live Screen Printing  – customise your tote bags or t-shirts with Fever Dream exclusive designs
Canvas Painting – communal giant canvas where you’re invited to express your creativity in colour and art.
Sound Suite Pop Up – bringing W Hotel’s sound suite to the party, you can make your own jams at this specially curated music corner!

Early comers arriving before 5pm will receive Havaianas sandals and also stand a chance to win a lucky draw stay at the Fantastic Suite in W Taipei.

Night Dream

When dark has come, the festivities change too a cooler vibe of deep and progressive house music. This year, W welcomes international headliners Christoph & Osunlande , two unique artists that are both known for their incredible originality and creativity, resisting the mainstream sounds of commercial ‘EDM’ by keeping electronic music in its raw roots. They’ll be taking the night shift at the Woobar deck for an amazing evening atmosphere.

And of course, fireworks!

W Bali’s expansive signature fireworks display will light the night sky and the whole Seminyak Beach – the ultimate backdrop to any summer celebration.
