Le Méridien Bali is throwing their annual fundraiser event ‘A Portrait for Charity’ that will be held on the 3rd of December 2016 at the resort’s Bale Banjar Ballroom.
The event is aimed to raise funds that will support UNICEF’s Check Out for Children Challenge in providing sanitation and clean drinking water to children across Asia and the Pacific. It will feature a photo hunt, a photography workshop, and pop-up market, where students, professionals, and the community join together to capture the uniqueness of the Jimbaran area through their lenses. The events are to improve photography skills, bring a community together and broaden horizons. The fund raiser is in collaboration with the famous Indonesian professional photographer, Gabriel Ulung Wicaksono, who will act as the speakers. Gabriel is well known photographer whose talents have been used by major hotel and resort brands worldwide. Aji Maharesi, a professional street and food photographer heads the workshops and will share the photography techniques and best practices.
Participation fee is IDR150,000net per person; the amount is to support the charity event. Participants will receive a workshop certificate and have the chance to practice certain photography technics and join the photography contest. Guests who are not attending the workshop can still enjoy the pop-up market while exploring the photography exhibition throughout the resort.
