Yayasan Pita Merah Muda Bali or Bali Pink Ribbon has announced the return of its annual major fund raising activity during October, the Pink October. Throughout the month, proceeds from the auction of vouchers, items as well as ticket sales will be donated to the foundation to support  its efforts in improving breast cancer awareness, early detection and related support services.  The dazzling charity events in the Pink October programmes will include “COMO’s Charity Fundraiser Evening” on 12 October, held beachfront at COMO Beach Club in Canggu from 5 – 9pm (ticket price is IDR 900,000); “Brawereness Day with WACOAL” on 13 October Mall Bali Galleria’s Galeria Food Terrace – Mall Bali Galleria (registration fee is IDR 50,000 for activities such as Bra Decoration and yoga session); “Sunrise Yoga with Conrad Bali” on 19 October at Conrad Bali in Tanjung Benoa (ticket price is IDR 250,000); and Charity Lunch at FINNS RECREATION CLUB” on 25 October at Finns Recreation Club in Canggu (ticket price is IDR 800,000). 

Founded in 2009 by a British survivor, Gaye Warren, Bali Pink Ribbon has been actively promoting the vision to prevent Indonesian women from dying of breast cancer. Their main focus is to improve the quality of life and educate women regarding the preventive measures for this disease. Mass media programmes, seminars, and outreach programmes are conducted not only in Bali but across the country to support and empower women along with their families to fight the menace of breast cancer. Another important objective of Bali Pink Ribbon is to reach out to remote parts of the island to provide medical help to the patients.
