Keeping the party going since its opening, luxe lifestyle brand Café del Mar Bali has revealed its upcoming New Year festivities featuring an impeccable line-up of international dance music maestros to help welcome the new decade.

New Year’s Eve

Café del Mar Bali - David Morales & Dimitri from Paris

On 31 December 2019, Café del Mar Bali is bringing in two of the world’s most talented artists to take over the decks for an explosive New Year’s Eve celebration. Deemed one of the world’s most creative remixers of all time, Grammy award-winning and celebrated house music maestro, DJ David Morales will kick off the evening with a sunset set before Dimitri from Paris illuminates the stage and electrifies the dance floor with his funky disco house tunes as the clock strikes midnight. The New Year’s Eve party starts at 3pm until late.

Growing up during the most significant era of dance music, New York native David Morales frequented the city’s iconic clubs including the Loft and the Paradise Garage, where he perfected his talent before beginning a career in remixing in the mid-’80s. A master of his craft, David Morales has remixed and produced over 500 releases for artists such as Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Eric Clapton, Pet Shop Boys, U2, Whitney Houston, Jamiroquai, and more.

2019 proved to be a career-reviving year, which saw his return to the centre of house and electronic music with a notable run of singles, including his most recent one entitled ‘Escape’, his Kings of House collaboration with Louie Vega on the single, ‘Still Here’, and a slew of Red Zone remixes and releases.

Pride of his nation, the Turkish-born, French native Dimitri from Paris is the French Ambassador of stylish club sounds and a multitalented DJ, producer and remixer of the highest standard. A stylish, snake-hipped pin-up with a French reserve with two unique qualities: he is indisputably elegant and a true dance music devotee.

He is a Knight of the Arts and Letters, an official rank awarded to him by the French government in February 2005, the first artist alongside Air and Cassius from the Electronica field to be awarded such distinction. Dimitri’s musical influences come from his love of ’70s Funk and Disco sounds that birthed today’s House music but also soundtracks of cult movies of the ’50s and ’60s.
