The Platinum Team from both The ONE Legian and Hotel Vila Lumbung has announced a new partnership that is offering an eco-friendly, edible leftover food donation for Bali dogs. The team successfully delivered their first lot of leftovers to the “I Love Bali Dogs” Organization at Seminyak Dog Shelter last month.
The mission of this new partnership is to enhance the welfare of dogs in Bali by providing food to alleviate their suffering and to empower the Balinese people to care for and take pride in their heritage dogs. The amount of leftover food will be adjusted based on I Love Bali Dogs needs and abilities as well as the maximum amount of leftover food that is able to be provided by both hotels. What this program does is actually tackle two problems at once: the issue of poor nutrition for Bali-based animals, but also the reduction of food waste that is otherwise thrown into landfills, causing future environmental problems. A good initiative from The Platinum Team who are helping to make Bali a better place.
