The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is excited to announce the appointment of Chef Edwin Sta Ana as the new Chef de Cuisine of Hamabe Japanese Restaurant. With a distinguished career in the culinary industry and a zest for culinary excellence, Chef Edwing brings his extensive experience and creative flair to Hamabe.

Born in the Philippines and raised in South Africa, Chef Edwin’s multicultural background has influenced his culinary style profoundly. After completing his education and achieving a degree in Arts and Business Economics, Chef Edwin decided to pursue his love for cooking and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts.

The talented chef’s career highlights include being a pivotal part of the opening task force team for three Nobu locations, while his tenure with the world-renowned Ritz-Carlton brand saw him spearheading a modern approach to contemporary Japanese cuisine. Moreover, Chef Edwin’s proficiency was showcased in two esteemed international soccer events, where he catered to VIPS and soccer teams.

In his most recent post at the Park Hyatt Hotel Doha, he successfully renovated and redefined Japanese Nikkei cuisine, leading the restaurant to win consecutive awards for the best Japanese restaurant.

Following Hamabe’s recent revamp, the addition of Chef Edwin as the new Chef de Cuisine is set to bring a dynamic culinary vision to the restaurant, elevating the restaurant’s status for delivering premium Japanese cuisine in a spectacular setting.

Hamabe is open daily from 5.30pm to 10pm.
