On 12 October 2019, the ROLE Foundation will hold their annual Waterman’s Awards Night at the Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali, an appreciation and fundraising event aimed at celebrating the high-achieving environmental heroes on the island in 2019.
The waterman’s Awards Night aims to raise awareness regarding the huge solid and liquid waste problem that is facing Bali and Indonesia today. That is why the Role Foundation is working to promote their “Zero Waste to Oceans” initiative by way of education and research at our Zero Waste to Oceans – Community Environment & Skills Center.
ROLE Foundation is providing education, and skills training programs and grassroots community assistance to alleviate poverty and ensure environmental sustainability.
The event will take place at the beautiful, beachfront restaurant, Pier 8, part of the Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali. The evening will feature a host of entertainment, as well as dinner and drinks as well.
However the focus will be on the awards, announcing the Waterman and Waterwoman of the Year, the ‘Clean Oceans Diveathon’ winner, Surfboard Art winner, Humanitarian Awards, Timeless Photo Art, Sports and Youth Awards, a long with a few more. It aims to show appreciation and recognition for those working to keep Bali’s environment clean and pristine, and serves as an incentive for others to do the same.
Take part and help raise funds for ROLE Foundation’s many initiatives around Bali, from helping marginalised women to their Zero Waste to Landfills Center in Nusa Dua.
