Above Eleven Bali proudly presents Discover Peru Dinner, a special dining event in collaboration with the Commercial Office of Peru in Jakarta. In conjunction with the Peruvian National Day on Sunday, 28 July 2019, experience a taste of Peru on this interactive dining event with Peruvian Guest Chef, Jaime Arbulu.

Known for its unique Nikkei cuisine and fantastic setting with uninterrupted views overlooking Jimbaran Bay, the popular award-winning rooftop destination will see its newly appointed Head Chef, Eduardo Montes, join forces with Peruvian Guest Chef, Jaime Arbulu, in an exciting collaboration to present a four-course tasting menu on the Discover Peru Dinner.

Chef Jaime has cultivated nearly 15 years of experience with several accolades in his pocket including winning the Chef Sur Award 2016 in Chile, just to name a few. Chef Jaime invites guests to go on a culinary adventure through Peru as he works closely with Chef Eduardo in the kitchen to present a tantalising selection of Peruvian classics from starters, to main courses and finally, dessert.

Kick off the journey with Causa Negra, a native Peruvian appetiser comprised of Peruvian mashed potato with squid ink accompanied with acevichado sauce, red chilli aioli, avocado purée, chalaca sauce, topped with charcoal shrimps.

Continue on into the main course with a delectable Beef Cheek Stew, a popular slow-cooked dish which uses Peruvian norteña sauce, pumpkin purée, baby carrots, corn with a side of steamed rice.

Moving on to the next main course is one of the most beloved dishes of Peru which is the Lomo Saltado, a Lima-style sauté beef tenderloin cooked with spaghetti huancaina sauce, tomato, red onion, coriander, and red chilli.

Indulge in a sweet delight to close off your dinner with Suspiro a la limeña, a well-known Peruvian dessert that dates back to the 19th century which is based around manjar blanco; the Peruvian name for dulce de leche. The dessert contains milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, and vanilla topped with meringue.

Experience the four-course Discover Peru Dinner at Above Eleven Bali on Sunday, 28 July 2019, starting at 7pm to 10pm. Discover Peru Dinner is priced at IDR 800,000nett/ person inclusive of a four-course tasting menu complemented with one Pisco cocktail.

The excitement doesn’t end there! Diners can also delight in 7 à la carte specials prepared by Chef Jaime between 29 July – 3 August 2019 from 6pm – 10pm. The à la carte specials start from IDR 120,000nett/dish.
