January 2018 marks the 10th year of our NOW! Bali publication. In selecting what to feature in this issue, we relied on the NOW! Bali tradition of constantly promoting Bali as a unique cultural wonder, and selected 10 stories from the past 10 years of our journey as a media company that we think best represent who we are as a magazine and Bali as a one-of-a-kind destination.
You need only flip through the following pages to see how wonderful the Island of the Gods is. We marvelled at the tale of a Balinese Hindu temple, and were amazed by Bali’s great outdoors. The traditional Balinese dance with its history left us in awe, as did the Tri Hita Karana concept that keeps Bali’s culture and centuries-old traditions from extinction.
You may also realise that we as a magazine have undergone a transformation. But we like to think that if you could see the somewhat more modern NOW! Bali, stripped off of its logo and other identifying marks, you’d know in an instant what you hold in your hands.
In an age of emails and text messages, the world should write love letters to reflect our relationships the way they used to do in the olden days. Here at NOW! Bali, we’re lucky to have great people as friends that have been with us since the very first time we opened our doors. 10 years later, they are still around and for that, we are tremendously grateful. We feel the love and support! Here is a collection of love letters handwritten by great people to celebrate our magazine’s tenth anniversary.
