Established in 1980 by Sant Antoni de Portmany, the flagship Café del Mar was founded on the Spanish island of Ibiza, which has subsequently flourished into one of the world’s most prominent entertainment, nightlife and party destinations, cementing its status as a must-go in Ibiza. With the opening of Café del Mar Bali, guests can expect the brand’s signature understated luxury shared across its 15 venues worldwide, not to mention the brand’s festivities such as the legendary sunset celebrations.

Mirroring its trailblazing pioneer, Café del Mar Bali will cater to guests with only the best offerings, from epicurean dining to stimulating refreshments, all to be enjoyed a stone’s throw away from the ocean.  Delight in the ample amount of innovative cocktails available at the venue’s multiple bars, as well as the Mediterranean-inspired menu which is seamlessly intertwined with local favourites, focusing on the farm-to-beachside concept. The beach club welcomes guests day-to-night, whether you’re making an afternoon detour for long lunches to catch the iconic Bali sunset or for late-night aperitifs and dancing under the stars.

Café del Mar Bali draws inspiration upon the original architecture of Café del Mar Ibiza with its majestic white design, whilst incorporating a touch of its newest Indonesian address. The Bali outpost was designed by architect, Rafael Pasaribu, and local firm, Aboday Architects, and features an expansive 700sqm infinity pool, VIP suites equipped with private pools, an opulent in-door restaurant, all-day casual beach dining, and multiple featured bars, including two swim-up bars. Café del Mar’s reputation for live music is irrefutable, and you can be sure its Bali branch will live up to the brand’s standards by integrating world-class staging and AV that accommodates the large scale, outdoor music events planned to be held regularly.

“We’re thrilled to be expanding further into Australasia, offering new guests the same unforgettable Café del Mar experience,” said Café del Mar Australasia CEO, John Zappia.  “The Café del Mar lifestyle is renowned worldwide for iconic sunsets, sophisticated dining and amazing live music events. This is our first large-scale expansion and the opportunity in these thriving tourist destinations was evident. Our guests will be able to sit back with a cocktail in hand, watching the sunset while building special memories with family and friends”.

“Bali is the perfect location for Café del Mar,” Zappia continued. “With international tourist numbers increasing year-on-year, the island is set to become ‘the new Ibiza’ with a growing market for music-based events. As the brand continues to grow, guests will always enjoy a stand-out experience with a fusion of the best Balearic music and hospitality. An offering that will continue to set us apart as we expand into Asia.”
