Located at the newly opened Alaya Resort Kuta, Sukun restaurant features a menu comprised of only the freshest ingredients from Bali’s bucolic land and fertile sea. Take Sukun’s signature breakfast, smoked salmon eggs benedict as well as chicken and wild mushroom puff pastry (pastries are baked fresh each morning by Kuta’s famed Tan’s Bakery) or its rustic pancakes and a choice of traditional fried rice or fried noodles. Sukun takes its name from breadfruit found throughout the South Pacific and Asia (there’s even one fronting the property). The restaurant features lunch and dinner menus, an all day tapas menu and look for the chef’s own version of Nasi Raja, a time-honored rice dish designed for royalty and esteemed visitors from generations past. The restaurant is a place to kick back and de-stress amidst décor that people stop and marvel at such as the poolside wall relief design by praised garden artist extraordinaire, Made Wijaya.
