See A Cultural Dance – a pleasing way to start off the night is with a cultural performance, at one of the many bale banjars or at the Ubud Palace where they give a nightly performance. Located in the centre of town, it is always a good place to start. Performances are authentic and pleasing and you can always buy your tickets from one of the traditionally dressed men or women in the street who work to raise money for their own banjar (village community). This is the ‘real Bali’ version of Ubud nightlife, but definitely a must. The shows are over by 9pm at the latest, leaving time for more fun activities afterwards.
