When we are young and single, we sometimes go on holiday to find romance; when we get married, we go on holidays to celebrate romance; when we have been married for ages, we go on holiday to rekindle our romance! Whatever the reason, holidays and romance are inseparably intertwined.

So coming to Bali for romance is a really good reason, and a great place to find it, because, as you will discover in the pages that follow, the romantic options are myriad (and top quality).

For the young, the sunsets (and sunrises!) are perfect. Wandering the beaches and mountains together. For the newly (or getting) married the restaurants and clubs to enjoy together are just amazing. And for those ready to rekindle the fires of passion, all of the above are relevant plus the fabulous villas, spas and wellness clinics, the yoga and the thrills of adventure, are all ready to bring excitement to the older couples!

So prepare for some great ideas – and don’t be scared to try them. It is all about doing things together, so plan your holiday from day one to explore all the things you both want to do!

For me Bali is about culture and heritage rather than the modern side, so enjoying the rice-fields, the dances and the temples together will make memorable times that you can relive together – plus great photos! Explore the artistic side of Bali and its extraordinary beauty (yes there are some bits still unexploited – go and find them!), then explore nature, go diving, rafting or cycling (not the motorised versions please) and commune with nature together. That’s what Bali is really good for.

And every night find a great restaurant and enjoy some of the best food in Asia, and some of the best service. Then romance will come very easily!

Have a wonderful holiday!
