The Westin Resort Nusa Dua has announced that this year’s UNICEF Check Out For Children charity event will be something totally different. Instead of the usual concert featuring rising stars in the music industry, the resort has chosen to host an uplifting session of Beach Family Yoga. This energizing activity will take place on the 27th of November starting at 4pm on a stretch of white sand beach overlooking the glistening waters of the Indian Ocean. It will be an opportunity for families to spend quality time together whilst giving back to those in need. The class will be conducted by the resort’s resident Wellness Specialist, Jitendra Pokhriyal. Hailing from the birthplace of yoga in India, Jitendra is highly experienced in various lifestyle practices including meditation.

Other highlights during the event will include lively entertainment, interactive food stalls and a fully supervised kid’s corner to keep little ones occupied. In addition, there will be lucky draws throughout the afternoon and a silent auction with bids being taken for an exceptional array of giveaways. For a fee of just IDR 150,000 Net per person, every participant will receive an exclusive water bottle and enjoy an hour-long session of yoga. This will involve gentle stretching and synchronized breathing exercises to promote physical and spiritual well-being. Mineral water and healthy SuperFoodsRX refreshments will also be available for all yoga participants. All proceeds raised will aid UNICEF’s funding of programs to provide clean water and better hygiene for children in developing countries.
