In Bali, AQUA provides people who live in the rural area of Pelaga Village an easy access to clean water; fresh water is transferred from a spring, or water source, using small pipes to several tanks found within the village. Access to safe water and sanitation facilities is a basic need for these people, and AQUA is committed to actively contributing in this field through an ambitious WASH (Water Access, Sanitation and Hygiene) programme aiming at improving the health of thousands of families in remote villages in Bali.

All the projects are community based, meaning that villagers contribute through manpower and land. Water committees are formed and trained to design the facilities, monitor the work, and ensure proper management over a long period. Currently, the WASH program has provided benefits to more than 135,000 people in 18 districts in Indonesia and will continue to grow.
