Micro-dining and Endless Sampling at Sukun

Small-plate dining, also known as “micro-dining”, has become fashionable in recent years as it allows diners an opportunity to sample an array of dishes in a single, leisurely sitting. For lunch or dinner, Alaya Kuta Resort’s Sukun restaurant has created a small plate sample menu that encourages pick and mix without limit and at a fixed price.

The colourful, small-plate dishes are characteristically tasty and carefully presented – think grilled tropical seafood salad with mango vinaigrette or tempura soft shell crab salad found in a menu replete with pasta, exotic Indonesian dishes and irresistible local deserts like mango sticky rice. Chef Ardika’s prep cooks are trained to assemble what are often delicate dishes with an increased emphasis on presentation and specific tastes that appease all palates. The dining concept, according to Chef Ardika, is not just for those tempted by “all you can” but also appeals to diners who prefer a smaller portion.
