Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana has launched its 13th Pullman Exhibition showcasing the series of Dare to be Different, Playing with Bubbles, Faces in the mirror, and some of the artists’ greatest creations. The exhibition, entitled “WARNA BUDAYA”, an artistic assemblage of stories captured from around the island of Java and Bali through the eyes of Yoga Raharja. Drawn to the richness of the Indonesian cultures and traditions, Yoga explored the striking ethnic diversity of Indonesia in a beautifully observant and candid manner: the people, the celebrations, the lives. This exhibition showcases Yoga’s selected photographs taken during his trips to Solo, Jogjakarta and Bali. The exhibition runs from 18th May until 17th of August, 2017.
Yoga Raharja was born and raised in Semarang, the capital of Central Java, and moved to the Island of the Gods after completing his formal education in 1995. He became interested in photography in 2005 when he began capturing images with an amateur pocket camera. Within a year, his hobby evolved into a lifelong passion. Yoga purchased his first SLR to delve deeper into the creative world of photography, embodying a diversity of creative and cultural passions.
