Whilst Kuta’s isn’t traditionally known for its style, if you look a little further you’ll find some diamonds hiding in the rough. Wrapped is the designer-deli of Four Points; it’s a cafe in Kuta that manages to balance both casual and class all at once.
Bali continues to explode with innovative food and beverage options; the cafés are getting quirkier, the bars get increasingly creative and the restaurants get more exotic every day. With such developments, even your all-day delis have become photogenic, with stylish spaces anyone would want to settle or sink into.
Found by the Four Points main lobby, Wrapped perches itself a story above and away from the bustling backstreets of Kuta. It certainly is a far-cry from what your usual expectations might be for the area, adding elegance whilst still remaining youthful and fun. It’s what the kids would call a ‘cool place’ and they wouldn’t be wrong.
Design is a huge aspect of this chic deli, which takes on a retro or modern-vintage feel, a notably signature style of the interior designer Zohra Boukhari, known for numerous projects on the island. Natural materials, raw woods and adorned with faux-antiques and trinkets. It is semi-outdoor, enclosed in a space surrounded by plants. During the day natural light floods in through the leaves, but at night the funky Edison-style lights give it a warm, cozier feel.
Of course, you’re not there for a design inspection… you’re there for the food! Wrapped serves a range of deli-cious bites, from paninis, wraps, salads, desserts, gelatos, an array of home-made pastries and wood fired pizzas from a real pizza oven. From the late afternoons, it becomes a great place for tea-time, their pastries coupled with a selection of high-quality teas make for a leisurely Bali afternoon, as every Bali afternoon should be! A range of wines, lassis, juices and cocktails are also served in the evening to make it a livelier hotel lobby lounge atmosphere worth enjoying.
The decor at Wrapped makes it very photogenic. Food blogger heaven?
Open from 9am to 11pm, it’s an all-day dining destination in Kuta. Those after sweet and sinful snacks will certainly find their share here, or comfort foods that hit that spot, and of course healthy snacks for the more conscious consumer.
It’s a perfect pitstop for those exploring the backstreets of Kuta, but at the same time makes for a great work or meeting space. Or, finding a quiet corner here for some ‘me time’ is a welcome option too.
Free high-speed wifi is available, as well as an adorable jar of gluten free cookies if the above hasn’t convinced you to check Wrapped out. You’ll see for yourself that it’s a cafe in Kuta that is a touch above the rest.
