To many, CasCades Bali Restaurant of Viceroy Bali is revered for its superb dishes – both in taste and presentation. This is partly thanks to the restaurant’s continual training of its kitchen through collaborations with Michelin Star chefs. Big names like Nick Bril, Benoit Dewitte, Michael Vrijmoed, Shinobu Namae, Thierry Blouet and many more have worked closely with CasCades’ culinary team to hold fantastic events; the result of which helps to reinvent the restaurant’s a la carte menu throughout the year.
Keeping with this tradition, 28 – 29 April 2017 will see CasCades hosting 2-star Michelin chef, Soenil Bahadoer, originally from Suriname on the northeast coast of South America. Soenil is the Chef Patron of Restaurant De Lindehof, a gastronomic wonderland located in Nuenen, the Netherlands. His cooking is typified by creativity, exotic influences and a thorough understanding of the basic cooking techniques. Spices and herbs are very important in his kitchen to add flavour as well as colour. Chef Soenil will work alongside CasCades’ executive chef Nic Vanderbeeken, who has 16 years of experience working in and establishing restaurants in France, Netherlands, Belgium, Vietnam and now Bali. The exciting two day collaboration will be a meal and wine pairing not to be missed!
